Easy way to Link your AWS Certifications to your Company’s APN (AWS Partner Network) Account
As of Today, there are around more than one million active AWS Certifications, a number that grew more than 29% over the past year. More than 650K individuals hold associate, professional, or specialty AWS certifications. If you are one of them and wants to link your earned certification to your company’s APN, this is the right place.
Why your Company want you to link your certification to your Company’s APN?
Simple answer is to win more business, company’s like yours may have signed up to be an AWS Partner, so linking a certification enables your company to reach different levels.
Once you start achieving your certifications in AWS, your company will ask you to register with their APN account so that it can be included in their total count. Now, the real task comes in because there is no proper guidance or steps that shows how to do it.
I’m also an AWS Learner and have earned certifications and have faced the same issue, so I decided to document this process that can help and make everyone’s lives easier.
Steps to link your certification to your company’s APN:
- Go to the registration page of AWS Partner Network page.
You will see the above page, enter the required details. While doing it, you may feel like you are registering your company at AWS Partner Network. However this is how you register with your company’s APN account.
2. Once you enter your first and last name, along with the mail provided by the company, click on verify email.
3. Next, you have to verify your mail by entering the security code received at your mail and setup a password.
4. Once you are verified, the below page will pop up and you can select anything as per your choices or select what I have selected in the snapshot.
5. After making above selection, click next and you will see the below page.
6. Enter the required details and once you are done with providing above contact information, you will see the below page where you have to select “Yes” for both questions.
(Don’t forget to add your AWS training and certification registered email)
7. Once everything is done, you will see a review page. Review everything and click on “Register”.
8. It will load for few seconds and you will see a welcome page like this:
Hurray! You are registered with your company’s APN Account Successfully.
Once you are done with everything, it might take up to 48 hours before your certifications start showing in the account.
You can check if certifications are showing by viewing your profile and clicking on the “My AWS Certifications” tab. If it has linked up correctly you should see all of your certifications in there.
